My visual creativity is oriented to abstract geometrical images consisting of elementary geometrical objects integrated into diverse spatial arrangements. However, I don’t paint or draw images directly, but rather write computer programs that contain descriptions of the image generation process. This enables me to experiment extensively with variations of structure and color until visually interesting forms are achieved.
I also work with digital manipulation of photographs using program-based manipulation of pixels within a photograph in order to exploit the richness of structure and color from the world around us. I find that such manipulation of photographs often leads to intriguing results and transformation from figurative to abstract patterns.
Some of the issues that intrigue me are dichotomies between determinism versus randomness, linearity versus non-linearity and simplicity versus complexity, and their influence on art.
