About Geoform
Geoform is an online scholarly resource, international forum, and curatorial project that focuses on the use of geometric form and structure in contemporary abstract art. The project is edited by Julie Karabenick.
Geoform explores, documents and celebrates the rich diversity of style and aesthetic intent that characterizes this broad vein of contemporary abstraction. Such diversity attests to the profound resonance that geometric forms and structures have had for people across time and place.
Artwork, an artist statement, and contact information for each participating artist appear in the Artist Directory. Included in the contact information are links to further information about each artist.
A growing collection of in-depth interviews conducted with some of the participating artists may be found in the Interview Directory.
Geoform was collaboratively developed and formally launched in May, 2005 by nonobjective artists Julie Karabenick (personal website: karabenick-art.net) and Howard R. Barnhart (personal website: barnhartart.com).
Geoform does not engage in the sale of artwork, nor does it act as a commercial agent for any of the participating artists. Inquiries about an individual artist should be addressed either to that artist or to his/her commercial representatives as specified in the contact information that appears on each artist's page in the Artist Directory.
At the present time, Geoform is not taking submissions.
Thank you very much for your interest in Geoform.
